Reducing your carbon footprint

One of the key contributors to global warming is that of Carbon Dioxide gases; the sort of gases that are created by airplanes, cars, homes, and yes, heating your pool or home hot water.

Infact, most fossil fuels will create these harmful carbon dioxide (or CO2) gases, and minimising these emissions is key to a greener, cleaner future for the Earth. World famous physicist Stephen Hawking has even cited global warming as the greatest threat human kind. Your Genersys solar panel system can help save tonnes of CO2, every year; and with an average lifespan of over 35 years, those savings are substantial. The Genersys solar panel operates at an extremely high efficiency and produces zero carbon dioxide in operation.

Solar's great, but what else can we do?
The list below is short, but gives you an idea of what can be done. Of course, we would love all home owners, pools and businesses to use solar water heating, but the list below is also a great place to start.

A great number of things can be done to reduce your carbon footprint, and some require the least amounts of effort, and best of all, are completely free!
  • Use low energy light bulbs
  • Drive cars with smaller engines
  • Keep your car for as long as possible
  • Use biofuel if you can
  • Recycle more
  • Turn down your heating in winter
  • Have your boiler regularly serviced
  • Refuse to buy over packaged goods
  • Turn off appliances when not in use
  • Turn off lights when not being used
  • Keep car tyres at correct pressures
  • Eat food produced locally in season
  • Work closer to where you live
  • Join a car sharing pool
  • Reuse your carrier bags
  • Plant trees
  • Fly less
  • Don’t vote for politicians who make excuses and don’t get things done to reduce emissions

The 'Greenhouse Effect' is being accelerated by an increase of carbon dioxide emissions into the Earth's atmosphere, causing global warming. Something needs to be done...
